我想招聘1-2名博士生，参与有关联网自动化车辆（CAVs）的测试、建模和控制的工作。其中一个研究主题与我的NSF CAREER奖项目“Conflicting Traffic Streams with Mixed Traffic: Modeling and Control”有关，该项目将测试和模拟CAV的车道变换行为，并设计控制策略。另外一个主题是“Understanding the Impacts of Automated Vehicles on Traffic Flow Using Empirical Data”，由NSF赞助，项目内容括：（i）测试不同汽车制造商及其配件、普通车辆（RVS）的自适应巡航控制（ACC）系统，以及（ii）制定汽车跟驰模型，这些模型既与ACCS和普通汽车有相似点，也有差异。更多主题可在我的网页“Research/Program”下找到。

要求

（a）拥有强烈的意愿去探索前沿的运输问题和解决方案

（b）良好的分析能力和数学/编程技能 

（c）良好的写作和口头交流能力（比如TOEFL和GRE，优先考虑GRE写作4或以上）

（d）提供完整的研究助理经验

（e）优先考虑工程/科学/数学背景

（f）优先考虑硕士学位，

Job description

Announcement: PhD Opening in Testing and Modeling of Automated Vehicles

I would like to recruit 1-2 PHD students to work in the area of testing, modeling, and control of connected automated vehicles(CAVS). One potential researchtopic is related to my NSF CAREER award project "Conflicting Traffic Streams with Mixed Traffic: Modeling and Control", which will test and model the lane-changing behavior of CAVS and devise control  strategies. Another potential topic is on "Understanding the Impacts of Automated Vehicles on Traffic Flow Using Empirical Data" sponsored by NSF, which will (i) test the Adaptive Cruise Control(ACC) systems of different car-makers and their counterparts, regular vehicles (RVS), and (ii) formulate car-following models that capture the similar and differentiating features of ACCS and regular vehicles.
